Treatment of Male Infertility – What Are the Options?
Male infertility refers to a disorder that makes it challenging for the female companion to conceive. With unsafe intercourse, about 13 in 100 couples are unable to conceive. Infertility affects both males and females for a variety of reasons. More than a third of infertility cases have a male factor. Most of the time, this is due to issues with male sperm production or transportation.
Several sexologists in Gurgaon state that male infertility is one of the most difficult diseases a guy can receive. It can be disastrous for some. Men who are unable to father a child may feel as though they are losing at one of their most basic functions.
However, some men must accept the fact that there is little they can do about their infertility. Other men can benefit from advancements in male infertility treatment.
Causes
Many factors go into producing mature, healthy sperm. A variety of issues can prevent cells from developing into sperm or the sperm from reaching the egg. The scrotum's temperature can effect the fertility of males. The following are the most prevalent reasons for male infertility:
Varicocele is an irregular collection of veins bulging just above the testicle that accounts for 38 percent of cases of rectifiable male infertility.
Undescended Testicle
● Fever is caused by infections in the testicles (orchitis), prostate (prostatitis), or somewhere else in the body.
● Chemotherapy
● Anabolic steroids and anti-seizure medications
● Abnormalities in the genes
● Hormone imbalances
Treatments for Male Infertility
Fertility treatments for men are based on the fundamental cause of the problem, or proven treatments that increase fertility may be suggested if there is no identified reason. Here are some of the options for male infertility:
Surgery
A varicocele, for example, or a blocked vas deferens is often surgically treated. Vasectomies already performed can be reversed. When there are no sperm in the ejaculate, sperm retrieval procedures can often be used to obtain sperm right from the epididymis or testicles.
Infection Treatment
Antibiotic treatment may treat a genital tract infection, but it does not necessarily restore fertility.
Treatments for Issues in Sexual Contact
In cases of sexual dysfunction or premature ejaculation, medication or counseling might help increase fertility.
Hormonal Drugs
In cases when infertility is affected by low or high levels of specific hormones, or difficulties with the mechanism the body processes hormones, your doctor may suggest hormone replacement or drugs.
Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
Based on your personal condition and needs, ART treatments may include collecting sperm by natural ejaculation, surgical removal, or donors. The sperm are then either injected into the female vaginal tract or deployed in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection procedures.
When Treatment Doesn't Work
Male fertility difficulties can be remedied in certain circumstances, but it is impossible for men to conceive a child in others. Your sexologist in Noida or the local area may advise you and your partner to consider using donor sperm or adopting a child.
